Board Elections: Five people sit on our Board of Directors, who each serves a two-year, staggered term. The Board elects PBA officers and serves as PBA leadership and the membership’s voice. The President appoints the committee chairpersons. As we elected three directors last year, the current PBA membership will elect two directors this year. Committee Updates: The Beachkeepers and Government Affairs committees will report about recent activities and visions for the next year.
Discussion of Island’s Future: We will lead a discussion of the community’s vision for the island, including what SRIA services we want to continue to pay with lease fees (e.g., Blue Angles, Bands on the Beach, Welcome Information Center), current tax litigation and efforts to vest property fee simple, what role SRIA should fill going forward.
